Nachbarn Verzweifeln An Zwei Verdreckten Haeusern In Der Karlsruher Suedstadt

## Neighbors Desperate Over Two Dirty Houses in Karlsruhe's Südstadt

Residents of Karlsruhe's Südstadt neighborhood are at their wit's end over two dilapidated houses that have become eyesores. The properties, located on Werderstraße, have been neglected for years, with overgrown gardens, crumbling facades, and broken windows.

Unbearable Conditions

Neighbors have repeatedly complained to the city about the state of the houses, but to no avail. They say the properties attract rats and other vermin, and the smell from the overgrown gardens is unbearable, especially in summer.

"It's like living next to a junkyard," said one resident. "We can't even open our windows because the stench is so bad."

City's Hands Tied

The city says it is aware of the problem but has limited options. The houses are privately owned, and the owners have not responded to requests to clean them up.

"We can't force the owners to do anything," said a city spokesperson. "We can only issue fines, but that hasn't had any effect."

Residents Demand Action

Neighbors are now demanding that the city take more action. They want the houses to be cleaned up or demolished.

"We've had enough," said another resident. "These houses are a danger to our health and our neighborhood. The city needs to do something before it's too late."
